Peanut Butter Toast with Apple Syrup

Peanut Butter Toast with Apple Syrup


  • 8-10 Modern Family Special Bread slices
  • 4 apples- peeled, diced in small pieces
  • 2 tbsps. White butter (unsalted) ,
  • 2 tbsps. Peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. Cinnamon powder
  • Handful of walnuts- crushed
  • 2 whole eggs
  • ¼ cup sour cream (malaai)


  1. Heat butter over medium flame. Add apples and sauté. Stir till they turn soft. Add sugar, cinnamon powder, walnut and two tbsps. of water. Mix well. Turn off flame. Cover pan with lid and keep aside.
  2. Coat both sides of bread slices with peanut butter. Keep aside.
  3. Whisk eggs, sour cream and honey in a bowl. Dip peanut butter coated bread in the bowl. Cook on griddle or tawa until brown and crisp.
  4. Serve the cooked bread with thick apple syrup on top.
