Bread Pizza Recipe

Pizza is easily one of our favourite foods, popping in as the perfect treat for yourself, for your friends, for your family and others! Making a pizza at home is extremely easy with our pizza bases, but there is another kind of delight in making pizzas with our bread. Bread pizzas are bite sized, handy, and lots of fun to work with. You can get really creative with your toppings; greens, meat, cheese – all can come together to make for a lovely treat. Here’s a bread pizza recipe to get started with. The best part? You don’t need an oven for this, toast the pizza on a skillet! Read on:

Bread Pizza Recipe

Ingredients

  • Hi-Fibre Bread: 5 slices
  • Mozzarella: 100g, grated
  • Onion: 1 medium, cubed and separated
  • Tomato: 1 large, deseeded and finely chopped
  • Capsicum: 1 medium, deseeded, sliced thinly
  • Oregano: As per taste
  • Red chilli flakes: as per taste
  • Pizza Sauce/Marinara/Tomato Ketchup: 1 Tbsp per slice
  • Black pepper: as per taste
  • Salt: as per taste

Method

  • Spread the tomato ketchup on your bread slice evenly.
  • Add your veggies carefully. Be sure to not over-crowd your bread slice. You can also experiment with jalapenos, sliced olives, cooked chicken and more!
  • Sprinkled your mozzarella cheese on top of the veggies.
  • You may sprinkle your seasoning on top of the cheese. Or after the pizza has been toasted.
  • On a hot, thick-bottomed pan, grease the surface with a stick of butter and carefully place the bread slice on the pan.
  • Turn the flame to low heat, and cover the bread slices with a lid for 2-3 minutes till the base crisps up.
  • Once the cheese has melted, remove it carefully from the pan and serve hot.
