Bread Kachori

Modern hectic lifestyle often leaves us with less time and we refrain from preparing several items which we remember as delicacies from childhood. Bring back the same memories with this unique bread kachori recipe which you can easily make with bread.

  • 8-10 Modern Sandwich Supreme Bread slices
  • 250 gm green peas
  • 1 tbsp. Salt
  • 1 tsp. each of spices- cumin seeds (jeera) powder, coriander (dhaniya) powder, garam masala, red chilli powder, fennel seeds (saunf)
  • 2 cups refined oil for deep frying
  • 1 tbsp. each of all-purpose flour (maida) and water


  1. Boil peas. Drain water. Let it cool.
  2. Add salt, all dry spices and saunf to boiled peas. Mash well to make dry paste.
  3. Separate the hard edges of bread pieces. Flatten the bread slices with rolling pin. Fill in a tbsp. of peas-stuffing in the centre of bread.
  4. Mix 1 tbsp. of water in all-purpose flour to prepare an adhesive. Apply on all four sides of bread. Fold and press the sides of bread. The flour mixture will seal the bread’s sides.
  5. Deep fry stuffed bread till they turn crispy brown. Serve hot with sweet sauce.
